Toothbrushes- not the most glamorous of topics, but one that's an essential part of our daily routine none the less. For the last few months, I've been using Oral B professional care 600 electric toothbrush and it's finally persuaded me to swap my trusty old manual toothbrush in exchange for a more high tech, electrical version:
My Oral B 600 toothbrush is a limited edition design, and when it landed on my doorstep, I couldn't help but squeal at the fact that the handle was pink. Inside the box you'll also find a plastic travel holder, a brush head, a white charger/stand and a plug adapter (the charger has a 2 pin plug).
The toothbrush need a good few hours of charging before it's ready to go (there's a light on the handle which will tell you when it's fully charged). This is perhaps the only downside of an electric toothbrush. Once a week, it needs replenishing, and I must admit I've been caught out a few times. The charging light does flash once it's running low, but I have a habit of ignoring it and then running out of electricity mid brush.
Charging aside, I really can't fault it. Oral B 600 toothbrush has a pulsating motion, so feels like it's really getting in between the gaps, giving me a deep clean everytime I brush. It also sends a vibration signal every 30 seconds and again at 2 minutes so I know when to change sides and when to stop brushing.
Initially, I found brushing the back of my teeth a little difficult (the brush header is thicker than a manual) but with a little practice, I soon got used to it. From the first use, my teeth felt cleaner and my mouth fresher. I also like the fact that it automatically times, so I don't have to worry about over/under brushing.
In the past, I've been rather sceptical about the benefits of an electric toothbrush, but having tried one, I'm now a complete convert. And despite the odd charging issue, I can't imagine going back to a manual toothbrush again.
Oral B professional care 600 electric toothbrush retails at £49.99, although it's currently being sold at Argos for just £24.99.
Have you tried any of the Oral B electric toothbrushes? What's your favourite electric toothbrush?
I use Oral B 600 and I love it. It always leaves my mouth with that lovely squeeky feel :)

DeleteThat toothbrush is a very lovely colour! I haven't tried the Oral B electric tooth brushes myself, but my mum uses it and says they're good! :) I use a Colgate one, and my teeth feel so much cleaner now compared to using a normal toothbrush. xx
