For someone who found sale shopping very disappointing this year, I managed to pick up a surprisingly large number of items, although almost everything was full priced:
After weeks of swatching 2 different shades, I finally decided to get Bourjois Healthy mix foundation in No52 as well as a bottle of nail varnish remover.
With the No 7 vouchers I stocked up on 2 radiance hot cloth cleansers (a must have for make up removal) as well as an exfoliating sponge and make up sponges to try out.
I have a love/hate relationship with Primark, but I'm so glad I decided to pop into their Oxford St branch, because I spotted this gorgeous cream trench coat with the cutest floral buttons for just £25!
I also picked up this pretty purple vest dress from the Miss Selfridges online sale for a mere £12!
Finally, I ordered 2011 diary inserts for my Filofax. I treated myself to the pocket breast cancer pink Filofax last year and I absoutely love it! Would definitely recommend if you're still looking for a 2011 diary.
Were you also disappointed with the sales? Or did you have a successful shopping trip? What have you been buying with your No 7 vouchers?
I really want to try the No 7 Hot Cloth Cleanser. I still haven't spent my £5 voucher yet so maybe that's what I'll get. I love your pink Filofax :) x
ReplyDeleteLilyLipstick - Thanks lovely, I can't imagine not having a filofax now! Definitely give the hot cloth cleanser a try, it's great. If you don't want to spend any money, the sponges are a good choice as they're only 3 quid so works out free with the voucher x
ReplyDeleteI love the Cutex nail polish remover. Its amazing for removing glitter polishes too!! that too directly without going through the hassle of foil technique and all. I think I have in green which is moisturizing or something.
ReplyDeleteBtw great haul :)
I love Bourjois healthy mix foundation :)
ReplyDeleteI like the Primark coat too
xx
Ezzy- Thanks. Glad to hear the nail varnish remover works well on glittery polishes! I've been using the pink Cutex one but fancied change and the nourishing one sounds best out of the selection in Boots x
ReplyDeleteCharlotte; - Thanks, glad you like it too, the foundation seems to be so popular! x
I bought the hot cloth cleanser today with a No7 voucher, I'e heard so many good things about it!
ReplyDeleteThe Bourjois foundation is great, I've been using it for a while :)

LOOK! FLYING MONKEYS! - Glad you like the foundation as well. I've been trying it on in store over the last few weeks and I love it! Hope you like the hot cloth cleanser x
ReplyDeleteI really want to love the healthy mix foundation but it just doesn't seem to last long enough for me. I used my voucher to buy a cream eyeshadow tube thingy, I cant remember what they are called! I have another one to spend ;) xx
ReplyDeleteI am definitely planning on getting the hot cloth cleanser with one of my vouchers - I want to see how it compares to the Soap and Glory one!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to know your thoughts on the foundation - I've been wanting to try it forever! xx
Pyxiee- It doesn't last the full 16hrs on me either but I couldn't resist as I really like it and it's on offer atm. Was it one of the mousse eyeshadows? They're meant to be really good. The sponges are good if you dont want to spend more money as they're only 3 something each x
ReplyDeleteGeorgina - I keep meaning to try that one but can never resist stocking up with the no 7 vouchers lol. I think the foundation is great for the price but it doesn't last the full 16hrs, will post a full review soon x
This is a fabulous haul! I'm a huge Primark fan but even I can't believe that coat is from there! You won't regret the Bourjois foundation - it's phenomenal! I have the No7 exfoliating sponge too but it's extremely rough - I prefer the gentle but equally effective - and cheaper - Primark copy
ReplyDeleteI use that Cutex nail varnish remover, I absolutely love it. No other nail varnish remover has worked well enough! xx
ReplyDeleteKat- Thanks, it was over several shopping trips, but I'm really happy with what I've brought. Glad tou like the foundation as well x
ReplyDeleteThat Girl - Glad to hear it! I'm currently using the pink one which works really well, so hopefully this one will be just as good x
I'm glad you use makeup sponges too, I always feel like everyone uses brushes now and that I'm an amateur for using a cheap sponge from Superdrug.
ReplyDeleteI love this post! :)
ReplyDeleteIf you like check out my giveaway.

Skin Scrubs - I have to confess, I only started using foundation recently and haven't got round to trying the sponges yet, although have some time this weekend so will give them a go. You shouldn't feel like an amateur, lots of people use sponges and there's been quite a few
ReplyDeleteblogposts about the Cosmopolition sponge x
cassie min - Thanks

ReplyDelete"this fashion lark."- Thanks, I'm really liking the foundation, will be reviewing it soon x
