Come winter-time, I like to switch to a richer moisturizer, and the product of choice this year is Liz Earle skin repair moisturiser for normal/combination skin.
I would describe it as a thick creamy moisturizer with a subtle floral scent. For such a thick cream, it sinks in surprisingly quickly and it leaves my skin fairly matte, with only a little bit of shine on my nose. Throughout the day, my t-zone does get oilier, but its no more than usual.
A few weeks ago, my skin felt very dehydrated but since I've started using this sample, my hydration levels are completely restored and my skin no longer feels sensitive.
For the summertime, I think the moisturizer will be too thick, but for now, it's just what my skin needs to protect it against the harsh winter weather!
Does your skin change in the Winter? What are you using to protect your skin during the cold weather?
OOOOOh interesting. :) I have never tried Liz Earle, but every review I have read, is a good review. :)

Hannah- Liz Earle has been raved about so much on blogger recently! I'd definitely recommend getting a sample to try out if you're interested x
ReplyDeleteI can't use this cream, it gave me spots, I'm guessing my skin was too oily for it! My skin just doesn't get as greasy in the winter but it still doesn't get dry!!

Katie- I did read a few reviews where people said they'd broken out but you're so lucky that your skin doesn't go dry during the winter! x
ReplyDeleteI get super dry in the winter so I'm using hope in a jar!
ReplyDeleteDiana- Its so frustrating isn't it, hope that moisturizer is working for you x
ReplyDeleteGreat post. Well its summer here in the Philippines all year round. I use Celeteque's gel moisturizer. Its pretty good. It feel like watery gel but it does its job well. You think its good for winter too? Im going on a trip for 2months, so Im not really sure what products I'll be needing to care for my skin in a different enviroment/weather :)
ReplyDelete-GAYLE IS VOLATILE
Gayle - Its hard to say, everyone's skin reacts differently to environment changes. I'd take 2 moisturizers that way you're prepared for anything x
